AI access is not AI adoption.
Your organisation has given people AI tools. Many have not really started. Some use their own tools quietly, because nobody showed them a safe way in.
Premier Step helps the investment you have already made start to pay off. It gives your people a calm, practical place to begin, on their real work, and gives leaders an honest picture of what is actually happening.

Companies spend millions on Copilot and enterprise tools, but many staff are either intimidated by it, secretly using personal accounts, or simply don’t know where to start without feeling foolish. Premier Step is a two-morning, human-first working session. We come in as an outside guide, strip away the tech jargon, and get your people comfortably doing real work with the tools in a zero-judgement environment. By lunch on day two, your staff have practical confidence, and leadership has an honest, anonymised picture of where real everyday productivity actually lies.
How it really feels
Most people are not resisting AI. They are unsure where to start.
We hear the same things in every organisation, at every level. They are normal. They are also the reason licences you already pay for go unused. Compared with that cost, one well-run first step is small.
The empty box
You open the tool. There is an empty box. You are not sure what to type, so you close it again.
Feeling exposed
Everyone else seems to know more. Asking a simple question feels like admitting you are behind.
Fear of getting it wrong
What if I share something I should not? What if my manager sees I used it for this?
No time to experiment
Everyone says AI will change work. But you have deadlines today, and no time to learn something new.
Quiet avoidance
People nod in meetings, then go back to the old way. Nobody says it out loud.
None of this is a lack of intelligence. It is the lack of a safe first step.
What Premier Step is
A safe place to begin, using your own work.
Premier Step is not a course about AI. People do not need another lesson. They need a safe, practical way to start using the tools your organisation already provides.
We work with small groups on the tasks they do every week: emails, reports, meeting notes, preparing a difficult conversation. People learn by doing, at their own pace, with someone beside them.
We come from outside your organisation. We are not HR, IT or Legal, and we do not report on individuals. That is why people speak openly. In the room, one rule applies: no question is too basic.

For your people
Confidence to start. Simple, useful ways to use AI in their own role. A clear sense of what is safe and what needs a second look.
For your leaders
An honest, anonymous picture of how AI is really used today, including personal tools. Login numbers show access, not adoption. We show where adoption is stuck, where the risks sit, and what to do next.
How it works
Two short working sessions. Real work in between.
One group of 12 to 20 people. Two half-day sessions on separate days, so work carries on and people have time to reflect. Delivered in English.
Make it discussable
About 3 hours, with a coffee break
We talk openly about how people feel and what they already do, including personal tools. Then we try the company tools together on real tasks. Small wins, early.
Try it on real work
A few days, by design
People go back to their desks and try one or two small things in their own job. This gap matters. It is where most of the learning happens.
Turn it into habit
About 3 hours, with a coffee break
We share what worked, what did not, and what felt unclear or unsafe. Each person leaves with a few uses that fit their role, and knows where the limits are.
What we saw, in writing
Anonymous and in plain English
You receive a short summary of what we saw: what helps, what holds people back, and a sensible next step. No names, no scores.
What you receive
A clear view, written down.
After the second session, you receive a short written summary. It is anonymous and grouped by theme. No names, no scores, no league tables.
- The main themes: how people feel about AI and how they use it today
- What is holding adoption back, in plain terms
- Everyday use cases that already work in your teams
- Questions for your security, legal, data protection, HR or IT colleagues
- A sensible next step, sized to what we saw
Clear boundaries
We do not replace your legal, data protection, security, HR or IT teams. When a question belongs to them, we note it and pass it on.
We do not assess or report on individuals. What people share in the room stays anonymous in the summary.
We work only with the AI tools your organisation has approved.
Then you decide what comes next
Premier Step is one defined step. There is no obligation to continue.
Internal action
Clearer guidance, a policy update or a quiet word with IT may be enough.
Focused training
Deeper, tool-specific learning with specialist partners, only where it is needed.
More groups
Run Premier Step with other teams, using what the first group learned.
Who it is for
International organisations that work in English.
Companies, international bodies and NGOs where trust matters, wherever they are based. It usually starts with one of these people.
HR and People
You want people to feel supported, not tested.
IT and Digital
You rolled out the tools. Use is lower than you hoped.
Security and Risk
Personal AI tools may already be in use, out of sight. You want to understand it calmly, without blame.
Leadership
The board asks about AI. You want a sensible start, not a large programme.
The right fit
- Your people already have company AI tools, such as Copilot or an enterprise chat
- You want an honest picture before you invest in more training or technology
- You can bring together a group of 12 to 20 people who work in English
Not the right fit
- You need advanced, tool-specific training now. We can introduce specialist partners.
- You want to monitor or rate individual employees
- You are looking for a large transformation programme
- You need the sessions delivered in a language other than English
Who you will work with
The technology is rarely the hard part. The human side is.
I was born in Central London and was writing code as a child in the 1980s. Since then I have spent more than 25 years in international commercial roles, from maritime shipping to new technology. Much of that time was spent bringing something unfamiliar into large organisations and helping people there make it work.
I have seen the same pattern many times. People are not against new tools. They need to see why it matters for their own work, and they need to feel safe enough to try.
I have lived in Switzerland for over 12 years, with my wife and our two teenage daughters. I believe nobody should feel stupid for being new to something. That belief shapes every Premier Step session, and I deliver each one myself.
